Standish's Trusted Transmission Shop
Stiles Transmission has been a cornerstone of the Standish auto repair community for decades. What started as a one-bay operation has grown into a full-service transmission and drivetrain shop — but the philosophy hasn't changed: treat every customer's vehicle like our own.
We're a locally owned and operated business right here on Saco Road. When you pull into our bay, you're not a ticket number — you're a neighbor. That's why we take the time to explain what your vehicle needs, what we recommend, and what we can reasonably defer. No pressure, no upselling.
Our technicians bring years of hands-on experience with every make and model. From routine fluid changes to complex electronic diagnostics and complete transmission rebuilds, we do the work right the first time — so you can get back on the road with confidence.
Built on Reputation, Not Ads
We don't need flashy marketing. Our customers' stories and repeat visits are what keep our bay door open every day.
Honest Diagnostics
We tell you what your vehicle actually needs — not what's most profitable. If a repair can wait, we'll say so. If it's urgent, we'll explain why.
Right the First Time
Cut-corner fixes cost more in the long run. We diagnose thoroughly, source quality parts, and stand behind every repair we perform.
Local & Accessible
Right here in Standish on Saco Road. No towing required for drop-offs, no cross-town drives for pickup — just straightforward, convenient service.
Fair & Clear Pricing
We provide written estimates before starting work. You'll know the scope and the cost upfront — no bill shock when you come back for your vehicle.
What Our Customers Say
We let our work speak for itself — but we're grateful when our customers take the time to share their experience.
My SUV was slipping badly and I was bracing for a dealer price tag. Stiles had it back on the road for less than half what I was quoted elsewhere. They even called to let me know when it was ready — didn't make me wait around all day.
I've been bringing my trucks here for years. They've never tried to sell me something I didn't need, and they always explain the problem in plain English. That's rare to find.
Transmission went out on my work truck right before a long job. Stiles stayed late to get me in, had it running the next morning, and the price was exactly what they quoted. I won't go anywhere else.
